Fly the Shotover F1, a carbon fibre 6-axis gyrostabilized camera system built for rock-steady long-lens shots from helicopters, vehicles and boats. With no gimbal lock, 360° continuous pan and full look-down, it holds the frame upright or inverted on almost anything that moves.
The open-architecture turret carries a wide range of RED, ARRI, Sony and Canon cinema cameras with long cinema zooms, and our team will help you build the right camera, lens and mount package for your shoot.

The Shotover F1 from SHOTOVER Systems is a 6-axis gyrostabilized camera platform, a lighter and more compact sibling to the flagship K1. Six axes of stabilization with no gimbal lock give it Shotover's signature look-down capability, so the camera can shoot directly beneath the aircraft and stay locked on. Its open-architecture carbon fibre turret supports hundreds of camera and lens combinations, from ARRI, RED, Sony and Canon bodies to long zooms such as the Fujinon 25-300 and ARRI/Fujinon Alura 45-250.
A dedicated gimbal operator flies the F1 from a lightweight operator control unit with joystick, iris and focus controls, a Preston HU3 breakout for lens control and a recess for camera remotes, so settings can be changed in the air. Roll can be steered or left on auto horizon, slew rates reach 100° per second, and video leaves the turret over SDI or fibre to monitors, recorders or a downlink.
The F1 suits long-lens aerial work for feature film, episodic television and commercials, from sweeping establishing shots over the Coast Mountains to tight tracking on a moving subject. On a vehicle mount it handles high-speed tracking, and on a boat it steadies marine and coastal work. It is rated for stable operation up to 200 knots and from -20°C to +50°C.
